Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Lumos Gate services. It is designed to protect our infrastructure, our users, and the broader internet community. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Lumos Gate provides infrastructure management software — specifically, reverse proxy orchestration. We do not host content, and we do not control the traffic flowing through your servers. However, you are responsible for all activity conducted through your account and the servers you manage with our platform.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1. Illegal Activities
You may not use the Service for any activity that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to:
- Distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Human trafficking or exploitation.
- Sale or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances.
- Terrorism, extremism, or incitement to violence.
- Any activity that violates export control laws or sanctions.
Zero tolerance: CSAM, terrorism, and human trafficking reports are immediately forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement agencies. Accounts are terminated without notice.
2.2. Phishing and Fraud
- Operating phishing pages or credential harvesting sites.
- Impersonating other services, companies, or individuals.
- Running financial scams, fake storefronts, or ponzi schemes.
- Using the Service to facilitate payment fraud or money laundering.
2.3. Malware and Harmful Content
- Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or viruses.
- Hosting command-and-control (C2) infrastructure for botnets.
- Operating exploit kits or drive-by download sites.
- Distributing cracked software, keygens, or piracy tools.
2.4. Network Abuse
- Launching DDoS attacks, port scans, or brute-force attacks from or through the Service.
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) through proxied connections.
- Attempting to bypass rate limits, access controls, or security measures of third parties.
- Using the Service as an open proxy or for unauthorized access to other networks.
- Operating TOR exit nodes or open relay services through the platform.
2.5. Intellectual Property Violations
- Hosting content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or patents without authorization.
- Operating sites that primarily exist to distribute pirated content.
- Circumventing digital rights management (DRM) systems.
2.6. Prohibited Content
- Content that promotes violence, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Content that violates the privacy rights of others.
3. Legitimate Use Cases
Lumos Gate is designed for legitimate infrastructure protection, including:
- Hiding origin server IPs from public exposure.
- Protecting web applications, APIs, and game servers from DDoS attacks.
- Managing SSL certificates and WAF rules across multiple servers.
- Load balancing and failover for production infrastructure.
- Security hardening for self-hosted services.
4. Resource Limits
You agree to operate within your plan's resource limits:
- Do not exceed the maximum number of servers or domains for your plan.
- Do not attempt to circumvent plan limits through multiple accounts.
- Do not use the Service in a way that degrades performance for other users.
5. Reporting Abuse
If you believe someone is using Lumos Gate in violation of this policy, please report it to:

We investigate all reports and aim to respond within 24 hours for critical issues (CSAM, active phishing, malware distribution) and within 72 hours for other violations.
6. Enforcement
When we identify or receive a report of a policy violation, we may take the following actions depending on the severity:

Repeated violations of any severity level may result in permanent account termination. No refunds or credits are issued for accounts terminated due to AUP violations.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
